Display company Marler Haley is looking into how the third sector is marketing in the wake of the economic crisis. Businesses often accept that marketing and advertisements are an important element of a company’s success but how important is it for a charity? What kind of a budget does a charity usually have? Not only that but how do charities currently market and what avenues would they look into if they had the choice? Marler Haley is hoping to find out by asking a range of charities to fill out a questionnaire on the subject, which is open to members of the third sector. From this they hope to glean how they can better serve the third sector and their marketing needs.
Marler Haley has worked with charities in the past and has given away hundreds of pounds worth of vouchers to help give good causes the ability to advertise themselves on a professional level. Previous examples include Camp Nibble, a rescue centre for rabbits and small rodents, where they were able to purchase a great looking banner stand (pictured) to use in conjunction with their fundraising. Pop N Grow also benefitted from some free promotional materials in the form of some great looking banner stands and a printed tablecloth. They make clothing specially make for babies in intensive care that accommodate medical equipment. Marler Haley will be running another charity competition once they release the findings of their questionnaire through a report.
If you work within the third sector or know someone who does and would like to get involved then please forward them to this questionnaire.
