Nucco Brain is delighted to present the release of Lycamobile’s first ever fully 3D animated advert, created for the launch of a global campaign to promote their new 4G LTE plan. Initially directed at the US market, the ad is currently undergoing modification for it to appear in the UK and the rest of Europe later this year.

This is the first time Lycamobile has approached animation to advertise their services. Lycamobile went straight to Nucco Brain, preferring to work directly with the creators to allow a strong creative collaboration between client and production house. Nucco Brain is more than just an animation studio: with a small but multi-talented team, they have the skills to contain a project of this scale to an efficient, in-house operation – playing both roles as studio and agency in its production.

The objective of the campaign was to communicate to customers Lycamobile’s competitive new offer for their 4G plan and to deliver the message in a concise, yet creative and entertaining manner. With the brief consisting of the initial idea of recreating the famous race between the Tortoise and the Hare, Nucco Brain was given complete creative freedom to take the project in any direction would allow the story to be told in the most exciting way. Nucco Brain developed the visual concept, the style, the characters, background designs and a story for the advert as well as producing the animation in the short period of just three months.

A larger campaign has been initiated as a result of this advert, with a Summer and a probable Halloween special already in the making. Lycamobile will be continuing their partnership with Nucco Brain to produce both future adverts.
