Celebrating 20 Years of Mount Pleasant Studio
October 2025 marks 20 years since Mount Pleasant Studio opened its doors in Farringdon. What began in 2005 as a small TV commercials stage has grown into one of London’s most trusted soundproof studios for broadcasters, production companies, ad agencies, podcasters and content creators.
Over the past two decades, the studio has hosted an extraordinary range of productions — from broadcast shoots and branded content to livestreams and visualised podcasts. In just the past month alone, the studio has welcomed:
- a TV commercial
- a Netflix promo
- a YouTuber with 2.5 million subscribers
- BBC documentary interviews
- a Hollywood talent interview
- a stop-frame animation shoot
- a short drama film
- a green-screen virtual-set shoot
- and at least one podcast recording
Mount Pleasant Studio extends a huge thank-you to the producers, directors, crew, agencies and clients who have made the studio part of their creative process — and to Studio Manager Simon Carter and Stage Manager James McGuinness, whose professionalism and calm efficiency keep every shoot running smoothly. Clients regularly describe them as “incredibly helpful” and “delivering outstanding service.”
As a 20th-birthday gift to itself, the studio has just added two Nanlux Evoke 600C kits complete with FL-20G Fresnels, 25°–45° projector attachments and Rapid 120 parabolic softboxes. These full-spectrum RGBLAC fixtures deliver stunning output, precise colour control and rock-solid consistency — the latest in lighting technology, launched only weeks ago at IBC.
Studio owner and Managing Director Richard Lewisohn says:
“It’s been a privilege to work with so many of you over the years and to watch the industry keep evolving. Here’s to the next chapter — and to making great content, with great sound, right here in the heart of London.”
