Inside the Gen V Fight Sequence Films: Green Screen Meets AI at Broadley Studios
The Academy and Prime Video commissioned us to produce a series of seven short films, placing 14 journalists and influencers inside a full fight sequence from Gen V, Amazon Prime’s hit superhero series.
Each film paired two participants in a choreographed scene taken directly from the show. Everything was shot at Broadley Studios in Central London using green screen, then delivered using our new AI-assisted production workflow, developed in partnership with Studio1.ai, an impressive suite of powerful but accessible AI tools.
Being the first production to run through this workflow, it delivered exactly as intended.
Gen V: The Show
Gen V is a spin-off from The Boys, set in the same chaotic, hyper-violent superhero universe. The story follows a group of superpowered students at Godolkin University, where branding deals and bloodshed go hand in hand. It’s one of Prime Video’s most successful originals, known for its fight choreography, satire and unapologetically messy tone.
We were given a full sequence from the latest season. A proper multi-beat stunt scene with hits, reversals and reaction shots. Our job was to make it look like the participants were part of the show.

The Set-Up
Prime Video provided us with the original choreography. From there, we worked with stunt coordinator John Koyama to adapt the sequence for each pair.
John’s credits include The Boys, Gen V, Breaking Bad and Oblivion. He led short training sessions with each pair, working on timing, reactions and simple tricks that sell a fight on screen. He also collaborated closely with our camera team to make sure we were getting the right angles and coverage for post.
We shot in Studio 1 using five Sony 4K cameras, giving us full flexibility in edit. Each fight was shot clean against green screen, with every take designed to be dropped straight into the world of Gen V using a mix of practical compositing and AI-generated elements.

The Workflow
This was the first time we used our new AI-assisted production workflow, developed in partnership with Studio1.ai. The platform allowed us to move quickly between clean plates, green screen keys, AI background generation and stylised sound design.
Earlier in the week, we filmed and delivered a full test film as proof of concept. This gave the client a clear sense of tone, delivery quality and how the final result would look. Once approved, we locked in the approach and moved into the main shoot.
Each film was turned around quickly and delivered fully packaged, ready for press and social distribution.
The Result
Seven high-energy, cinematic fight films, each featuring two participants inside the Gen V universe. For Prime Video and The Academy, this created a fresh way to promote the show through press and influencer engagement.
For us, it was a strong proof point for what our AI-enhanced production workflow can do, combining physical performance with smart tools to speed up delivery without losing creative control.
